Environmental justice is personal. The health of our children depends on clean air, safe neighborhoods, and responsible policy. For far too long, communities like ours have been burdened with elevated health risks due to polluters like Ecobat Resources (Quemetco), a lead battery smelter, raising serious concerns about toxic exposure to our community.
Now, large-scale lithium ion battery storage sites and hyper-scale data centers are moving closer to homes—bringing risks of fires, pollution, and additional strain on resources like water and energy.
We must draw the line. I will fight for stronger oversight, safer zoning, and real investment in green spaces. Our communities are not sacrifice zones—they deserve protection, health, and a better future.
