The Palisades and Eaton fires exposed serious gaps in preparedness, coordination, and communication. Technology alone isn’t enough—we need leadership, accountability, and real investment.
As Supervisor, I will:
Strengthen prevention: Expand vegetation management, defensible space programs, and harden critical infrastructure.
Improve emergency response: Ensure consistent funding for Fire and Sheriff departments and faster coordination across County, city, and state agencies.
Modernize evacuations: Create clear, community-specific evacuation routes and multilingual alert systems that reach every resident.
Empower communities: Expand CERT programs, increase access to FEMA-backed training, and implement neighborhood-level disaster drills.
Protect vulnerable residents: Prioritize seniors and at-risk populations with targeted outreach and preparedness resources.
Proven Experience You Can Trust
I am the only candidate with executive-level disaster preparedness training through FEMA. During the Eaton Fire, I worked alongside my team, the Sheriff’s Department, and LA County Fire to carry out large animal rescues at the peak of the crisis—putting ourselves in harm’s way to save trapped animals. I will bring that real-world experience to Los Angeles County—ensuring our communities are ready before disaster strikes.
Bottom Line:
Disasters are inevitable. Being unprepared is not. I will deliver practical solutions to protect lives, homes, and our communities.
